Ingredients
For the Crust
- 2 refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade)
- 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
For the Apple Filling

| Apples, peeled & sliced | 6 cups (about 6–7 medium apples) |
| Granulated sugar | ½ cup |
| Light brown sugar | ½ cup |
| Lemon juice | 1 tablespoon |
| All-purpose flour | ¼ cup |
| Cinnamon | 1½ teaspoons |
| Nutmeg | ¼ teaspoon |
| Salt | ¼ teaspoon |
| Vanilla extract | 1 teaspoon |
| Butter | 3 tablespoons, cut into small cubes |
For the Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
Preparation
1. Prepare the pan
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
Line a 10×15-inch sheet pan with parchment paper.
2. Arrange the crust
Roll out one pie crust to fit the pan and press it down. Trim edges if needed.
3. Make the filling
In a large bowl, combine:
- Apples
- Both sugars
- Lemon juice
- Flour
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Salt
- Vanilla
Stir until the apples are well coated.
4. Assemble the pie
Pour apple filling onto the crust and spread evenly.
Dot with butter cubes.
Roll out the second crust and place over the top. Seal edges by pressing with a fork.
Cut small slits on top for steam to escape.
Brush with egg wash.
5. Bake
Bake 35–40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
6. Glaze it
Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
Drizzle over the warm pie.
7. Cool & Serve
Let cool at least 20–30 minutes before slicing into squares.
