Festive Red Christmas Jam

A bright, sweet, ruby-red jam that tastes like Christmas morning in a jar — perfect for biscuits, cornbread, pancakes, or gifting to friends.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries, chopped (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Zest & juice of 1 orange
  • 1 packet (1.75 oz) fruit pectin

🥣 Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add strawberries, cranberries, orange zest, and orange juice.
  2. Cook on medium heat for 10–12 minutes until berries soften.
  3. Use a potato masher to lightly mash the mixture.
  4. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a boil.
  5. Add pectin, stir well, and boil hard for 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat and skim foam if needed.
  7. Pour hot jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.
  8. Seal jars. Let cool until set. Store in fridge or process 10 minutes in a water bath for shelf-stable jars.
