Cuppa Cuppa Cake

A true old-fashioned Southern pantry dessert.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional but delicious)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter an 8-inch baking dish. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and heavy cream. Stir just until everything comes together—don’t overmix. Add the vanilla if you’re using it.

Pour the batter into the baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top turns golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or a drizzle of warm caramel.
