Ultimate Air Fryer Baked Potatoes

The easiest, crispiest baked potatoes you’ll ever make.

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika

Toppings: butter, sour cream, shredded cheddar, chives, bacon bits


Instructions

Wash the potatoes well and pat them completely dry. Use a fork to poke each potato 6–8 times. Rub them with olive oil, making sure they’re coated evenly, then sprinkle generously with salt and pepper.

Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the potatoes in a single layer in the basket. Air fry for 40–50 minutes, flipping halfway through. They’re done when the skins are crisp and a fork slides in easily.

Remove, slice open, fluff the insides with a fork, and load with butter, sour cream, cheese, and your favorite toppings.


Tips for Perfect Potatoes

  • Russet potatoes work best for that classic fluffy center.
  • For extra-crispy skin, sprinkle a little more salt after oiling.
  • Add garlic powder or paprika before air frying for extra flavor.
