These little bites taste like homemade candy with almost no effort. Crunchy crackers get coated in a buttery caramel, baked until perfectly crisp, then finished with melted chocolate and a sprinkle of sea salt. They’re sweet, salty, crispy, and dangerously addictive — the kind of treat people finish before they even realize it.
Ingredients
- 40–45 buttery crackers (like Ritz or Club crackers)
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- Sea salt flakes, for topping
Instructions
1. Prepare the Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil. Arrange the crackers in a single, tight layer.
2. Make the Caramel
In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Bring to a low boil and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the caramel thickens slightly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
3. Pour & Bake
Pour the hot caramel evenly over the crackers, spreading gently with a spatula. Bake for 10 minutes, or until bubbly.
4. Add the Chocolate
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Let them melt for 2–3 minutes, then spread into a smooth chocolate layer.
5. Finish with Salt & Cool
Sprinkle sea salt on top. Let cool completely (you can chill them in the fridge), then break or cut into bite-sized pieces.
Serving & Storage
These bites keep well in an airtight container for up to 5 days. They’re perfect for holidays, gifting, movie nights, or anytime you need a quick, insanely good treat.
Enjoy !!!!
