Air Fryer Poached Eggs

Air Fryer Poached Eggs are a surprisingly easy, mess-free way to get tender whites and a perfectly runny yolk—no swirling water, no vinegar, and no watching the pot. It’s a modern shortcut that still delivers that classic breakfast comfort.

The method works by gently steaming the egg inside the air fryer using a small amount of hot water. This mimics traditional poaching but with far more control and consistency.

To make them, lightly grease a small ramekin or heat-safe dish. Add about 2–3 tablespoons of hot water, then crack one egg into the dish. Season lightly with salt and pepper. Place the ramekin in the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (180°C) for 5–6 minutes for a soft, runny yolk, or 7–8 minutes if you prefer it more set. Cooking time can vary slightly depending on your air fryer, so the first egg is your test run.

When done, carefully lift the ramekin out, drain off any excess water, and gently spoon the egg onto toast, an English muffin, or over sautéed greens. The whites should be just set and silky, with a warm, golden yolk that breaks beautifully.

This method is especially handy for quick breakfasts, small kitchens, or anyone who’s struggled with classic poaching. It’s also great when cooking for one or two people, since each egg can be made individually without waste.

Air fryer poached eggs pair perfectly with avocado toast, biscuits, smoked salmon, or even over leftover vegetables. Simple, reliable, and surprisingly elegant for something made without a saucepan.

Enjoy !!!
