  • Ingredients called for on the cake-mix box
  • ½–¾ cup vanilla or cream cheese frosting
  • 12–16 oz white or ivory candy melts
  • Pastel pink, sage green, lavender, and pale yellow food coloring
  • Edible flowers or flower-shaped sprinkles
  • Tiny pearl sprinkles
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the package directions and let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cake into fine crumbs.
  3. Mix in frosting gradually until the mixture is soft enough to shape but not sticky.
  4. Roll into small balls and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the candy coating and divide it into bowls. Tint portions in soft cottagecore shades such as blush pink, sage, lavender, and cream.
  6. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the coating, then insert it into a cake ball.
  7. Dip each cake pop completely into the coating and gently tap off any excess.
  8. Decorate with tiny edible flowers, pearls, delicate leaves, or pastel sprinkles.
  9. Place upright and allow the coating to set completely.

Cottagecore touch: Add tiny pressed-flower-inspired details in soft colors and finish with a light dusting of edible pearl shimmer for an old-fashioned, handmade look. 🌿🌼🧺
