Classic Fruit Salad

Introduction

Refreshing, colorful, and naturally sweet, this Classic Fruit Salad is a timeless favorite. Made with a medley of fresh fruits and a light citrus-honey dressing, it’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, picnics, or as a healthy dessert. Easy to toss together and always a crowd-pleaser, it’s summer in every bite—no matter the season.


Ingredients (Serves 6–8)

  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 1 cup red grapes, halved
  • 2 kiwis, peeled and sliced
  • 1 orange, peeled and chopped
  • 1 banana, sliced (add just before serving)
  • 1 apple, chopped (optional)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (to prevent browning)

For the citrus-honey dressing:

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime or orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lime or orange zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit:
    Wash, peel, and chop all fruits as needed. Place them in a large mixing bowl. Drizzle the lemon juice over the banana and apple slices to keep them from browning.
  2. Make the dressing:
    In a small bowl, whisk together honey, lime/orange juice, and zest until smooth.
  3. Combine and toss:
    Pour the dressing over the fruit and gently toss to coat. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.
  4. Serve:
    Serve cold, garnished with mint leaves if desired.
