Garbage Bread

Garbage Bread is the ultimate “everything-in-one-roll” comfort food. It starts with soft pizza dough stuffed generously with ground beef, cheese, veggies, and whatever flavorful add-ins you love. Rolled up, baked golden, and sliced like a pinwheel, it’s hearty, cheesy, messy in the best way — and absolutely irresistible.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced (any color)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 (1 lb) ball of pizza dough or 1 can refrigerated pizza dough
  • ½ cup pizza sauce or marinara
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional add-ins: pepperoni slices, cooked bacon, jalapeños, mushrooms

Instructions

1. Cook the Filling

In a skillet, cook ground beef with onions and peppers until browned. Drain excess fat. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it cool slightly.

2. Roll the Dough

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

3. Add the Fillings

Scatter the cooked beef mixture evenly over the dough. Top with mozzarella and cheddar. Add pepperoni or other extras if you like.

4. Roll It Up

Starting from the long side, roll the dough tightly into a log — just like making cinnamon rolls. Pinch the seam to seal. Place seam-side down on a baking sheet.

5. Bake

Brush the top with beaten egg. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

6. Slice & Serve

Let it rest for 5 minutes, then slice into thick rounds. Serve with warm pizza sauce or ranch for dipping.

Serving Ideas

Garbage Bread is perfect for game days, family nights, potlucks, or quick dinners. It reheats beautifully and tastes just as good the next day.

Enjoy !!
