Yield: Serves 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs ground beef
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 6 hamburger buns (or toasted English muffins)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 24–30 pepperoni slices
- Optional toppings: sliced olives, sautéed mushrooms, green peppers
Instructions
Start by browning the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Break it up as it cooks until it becomes nicely browned. Drain any excess fat. Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well, then pour in the pizza sauce and let it simmer for 3–4 minutes until thick and saucy.
Preheat your oven broiler. Place your buns or English muffins on a baking sheet and spoon the beef mixture evenly over each one. Top generously with shredded mozzarella and arrange pepperoni slices on top—just like mini open-faced pizzas.
Broil for 2–4 minutes or until the cheese melts and starts bubbling. Keep an eye on them so they don’t burn. Add any extra toppings you like, then serve hot.
Enjoy !!!
