This old-fashioned frozen fruit salad is the kind of recipe grandmas kept on handwritten index cards. Light, refreshing, and unbelievably simple, itβs perfect for holidays, potlucks, or whenever you want a cold, creamy treat with almost no effort.
π Ingredients
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 can (15 oz) fruit cocktail, drained
- 1 cup frozen strawberries, chopped
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- Β½ cup sweetened condensed milk
- Β½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1β2 bananas, sliced (optional)

1. Make the Creamy Base
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add condensed milk and mix until creamy.
- Fold in Cool Whip gently.
2. Add the Fruit
- Add pineapple, fruit cocktail, strawberries, and marshmallows.
- Add pecans or banana slices if using.
- Mix gently to keep fruit pieces intact.
3. Freeze
- Pour mixture into a loaf pan or casserole dish.
- Freeze for 4β5 hours until firm.
- Let sit 10 minutes before slicing or scooping.
