Gold-Dipped Cake Pops ✨

Elegant cake pops dipped in creamy coating and finished with shimmering edible gold—perfect for Thanksgiving, holiday parties, weddings, or special celebrations.

Ingredients

  • 1 box vanilla, yellow, or chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients called for on the cake-mix box
  • ½–¾ cup frosting
  • 12–16 oz white or vanilla candy melts
  • Edible gold dust or edible gold sprinkles
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake according to the package directions and let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cake into fine crumbs.
  3. Mix in frosting gradually until the mixture holds together when pressed.
  4. Roll into 1–1½-inch balls and chill for about 30 minutes.
  5. Melt the candy coating until smooth.
  6. Dip the tip of each stick into the coating, then insert it into a cake ball.
  7. Dip each cake pop into the coating, allowing the excess to drip off.
  8. While the coating is still slightly tacky, decorate with edible gold sprinkles. For a more luxurious look, brush or splatter food-grade edible gold dust onto the set coating.
  9. Stand the cake pops upright and allow them to set completely.

Tip: For a sophisticated look, use white cake with vanilla coating and add just a thin band of edible gold around the top or bottom of each pop. ✨
